Use accounts and subscriptions responsibly
Digital accounts are useful tools, but they are still governed by platform rules, local law and basic expectations about consent and honest behaviour.
Do not use accounts for impersonation
Do not pretend to be a real person, business or organisation you are not authorised to represent. Profile information should not be used to mislead people about identity or affiliation.
Do not send unwanted bulk messages
Messaging and email platforms have strong rules around spam. Only contact people where you have a legitimate reason and, where required, appropriate consent.
Do not manufacture reviews or ratings
Reviews should reflect genuine experiences. Using accounts to create fake reviews, coordinated ratings or deceptive endorsements can harm consumers and violate platform policies.
Protect credentials
Store passwords, recovery information and app passwords securely. Restrict access inside your team and remove access when a project or staff role ends.
Check the current platform rules
Platform terms change. Before using any account for a business process, review the rules that apply to that platform and your location.
